Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Services Worker to provide essential support and care for individuals with disabilities. In this role you will be responsible for the care, meal prep and case management of the clients at the group home. The ideal candidate should have experience in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments; and must have experience in at least one of these listed environments.

Duties

- Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with daily living activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and light housekeeping tasks.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote social interaction and emotional well-being.
- Assist individuals with disabilities and those experiencing dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all areas are tidy and hygienic.
- Communicate effectively with family members and other caregivers regarding client needs and progress.

Requirements





- Strong background working with individuals with disabilities or dementia.
- Ability to perform caregiving tasks such as cleaning, meal preparation, and medication administration.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to client interactions.
- Physical capability to handle heavy lifting and provide mobility assistance as required.
- Staff must have experience and training in behavioural management.

Job expectations
- Must have reliable transportation to and from work location, with a valid G licences and Insurance
- Emergency First Aid Certified or will obtain emergency first aid with documentation before start of first shift

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
