The department's success lies in its ability to proactively identify and address maintenance needs, prioritize tasks, and provide timely and effective solutions, thereby minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.This Plumber position presents a unique opportunity to work on the largest building in BC, exposing you to a diverse range of exciting systems. By leveraging your expertise in diagnosing and promptly resolving plumbing issues, delivering exceptional customer service, and contributing to a seamless and efficient workflow, you'll play a crucial role in maintaining the building's infrastructure and ensuring the utmost satisfaction of our clients. or a green commuter rebate of $100 per monthPaid time offComprehensive Sick Leave ProgramAccess to 24/7 fitness facilitiesKey responsibilities include:Inspecting, repairing, and testing backflow assembliesPreventative and corrective maintenance of sewer, storm and dyke pump stationsResponding to flooding: sewer/ storm backups, waterline/water main breaksResponding to hydronic leaks: chilled, heating or glycol systemsResponding to natural gas or diesel fuel system issuesResponding to fire suppression system issuesKey qualifications include:Five years' recent, related experience in an airport and/or industrial plant environment, supplemented by a Red Seal in PlumbingGas fitter and/or Steam Fitter ticket is preferredDemonstrated experience with back flow prevention testing, with various types of mechanical and electrical equipment, and in asset lifecycle development and managementAbility to interpret and apply the National Plumbing CodeExcellent analytical and troubleshooting skillsGood communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment with other trades, as well as independently, with little supervisionDemonstrated ability to make safety a top priorityValid BC driver's licenseAlthough notrequired, French language skills are an asset as we are committed to providing bilingual services to our visitors and passengers.
