Sessional Instructor – Introduction to Arts Education K-12

(EAE 201)

Responsibilities: NSITEP La Ronge requires a sessional instructor for EAE 201 – Introduction to Arts Education K-12. This is an introductory course for those preparing to teach Arts Education in Grades K-12, with particular focus on Grades K-9. Participants will actively explore content and curriculum in dance, drama, music and visual art. Section information text: Restricted to Education Students.

The assignment would involve planning, preparation and delivery of appropriate course content to students. Manage classroom activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students. Evaluate student performance and provide consistent feedback. Awareness and implementation of culturally responsive approaches.





Qualifications: Candidates will have a Master of Education degree or graduate degree in the appropriate area of instruction and experience within the education system appropriate to the content of the course. An understanding of Gabriel Dumont Institute values and previous teaching experience at the post-secondary level is an asset. Robust interpersonal and communication skills, flexibility and the ability to work with Indigenous student populations is required.

Candidates must be approved by the University of Regina.

Remuneration: U of R Sessional Lecturer wage grid

Location: La Ronge, SK (in person)

Term: January 4, 2027 to April 23, 2027 (39 contact hours)
