Java/Spring Boot, Microservices & REST APIs, SQL/Database Development Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Java Full Stack Developer with 5 10 years of hands-on software development experience and strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, REST APIs, and modern frontend technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, deploying, and supporting scalable enterprise applications within a Banking/Financial Services environment.

The role requires strong backend development expertise along with the ability to work across frontend technologies, databases, cloud platforms, DevOps, and CI/CD environments. Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and support scalable backend services, REST APIs, microservices, and enterprise applications.
- Develop secure, high-performing, and cloud-ready applications using Java, Spring Boot, Spring Security, and related frameworks.
- Build and maintain microservices-based applications following up-to-date software development practices.
- Develop and maintain frontend components using Angular, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks as required.
- Integrate frontend applications with backend RESTful services and ensure responsive, accessible, and user-friendly experiences.
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB.
- Perform database development, data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.




- Collaborate with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Architects, QE teams, and other stakeholders to deliver quality solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, technical discussions, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Utilize Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar DevOps and CI/CD tools to automate software delivery and deployments.
- Ensure applications comply with organizational coding, security, performance, and regulatory standards.
- Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement sustainable solutions to improve system stability and reliability.
- Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to development standards and best practices.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance to development team members.

Required Skills & Experience
- 5 10 years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java 11+/17.
- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.
- Hands-on experience with REST APIs and Microservices Architecture.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database development.




- Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of Git, CI/CD, and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Experience developing scalable, secure, and high-performance enterprise applications.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with Angular, React, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Cloud experience with Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.
- Experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain.
- Exposure to Apache Kafka and messaging technologies.
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of cloud-native and containerized application development.

DevOps & Cloud
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.
- Exposure to Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Understanding of cloud deployment and application modernization.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.

Domain Experience
- Banking or Financial Services experience is preferred.
- Understanding of enterprise banking applications, security requirements, compliance standards, and high-availability systems is an advantage.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
