An exciting opportunity for a Superintendent Pharmacist has opened up at a top-rated healthcare organisation near Newmarket, Suffolk. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to take on a dual role as Superintendent Pharmacist and Responsible Person for wholesale operations.

About the Position

£50,000 per annum (D.O.E.)

Ensure full compliance with GPhC standards, operating safely, legally, and ethically

Provide skilled and clinical leadership across the pharmacy team

Oversee and approve all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Ensure data protection and patient confidentiality compliance

Ensure wholesale operations meet Good Distribution Practice (GDP) standards

Maintain and update Quality Management System (QMS)

Oversee storage, transportation, and product integrity

Conduct self-inspections, risk assessments, and CAPAs implementation

Act as point of contact for MHRA audits and inspections

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

Master's degree in Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent

Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC

Community pharmacy experience essential

Eligible and willing to be named Superintendent Pharmacist

Eligible and willing to be named Responsible Person (RP) for wholesale operations

Strong knowledge of GPhC regulations, MHRA guidance, and GDP requirements

Responsible Person training from a recognised provider

Experience within online pharmacy models

Previous experience with GPhC and/or MHRA inspections

Familiarity with pharmacy software and e-commerce platforms
