We are seeking a dedicated childcare Support professional to join our team supplying when needed.
The role may cover Monday to Thursday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. The responsibilities of this position are to assist our classrooms when needed, receive hot lunches from caterer and distribute to classrooms. Covering educator's lunches from 12 - 2 pm depending on staff ratio. Friday 10 AM to 6 PM additionally may include full cleaning of centre; mopping, vacuuming and dusting. Friday includes a paid half hour (1/2) lunch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive catered lunches each day, record food temperatures and distribute to classrooms.
- Inventory food supplies each week for weekly grocery shopping.
- Perform daily kitchen cleaning tasks, including sanitizing surfaces, mopping, and trash removal, to maintain a high standard of hygiene.
- Each Friday perform thorough cleaning of whole centre from 2 - 6 pm.
- Support classrooms by assisting educators when needed, either through transitions, and washroom breaks.
- Work independently to manage kitchen and centre duties effectively while adhering to the centre's schedule.
Must have or willing to get Food Handlers Certificate, and experience working with children is helpful. We value teamwork, professionalism, strong organization skills, and a child-focused approach in all aspects of our work.
Pay: From $21.95 per hour
Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
