Infrastructure Automation Test Engineer with Python

Job Summary

We are seeking an Infrastructure Automation Test Engineer with strong Python expertise to develop automation, integrate infrastructure APIs, and support large-scale data center and infrastructure environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Python, API integration, NetBox/DCIM/IPAM, CI/CD, Linux, networking, and infrastructure automation.

Must-Have Technical Skills

Strong hands-on experience with Python for automation, testing, and tooling
Experience working with REST APIs, API endpoints, and various protocols
Hands-on experience with NetBox or equivalent DCIM/IPAM platforms
Experience with data modeling and API integration
CI/CD pipeline experience; Jenkins preferred
Working knowledge of Bash and Linux
Understanding of large-scale software and hardware system design principles
Practical knowledge of data center infrastructure and networking equipment, including servers, switches, structured cabling, cross-connects, and power distribution
Experience modeling infrastructure accurately within DCIM/IPAM systems
Strong ownership mindset with the ability to manage systems and automation initiatives end-to-end
Ability to work effectively with remote teams and execution partners across multiple time zones

Nice-to-Have Skills

Experience working in co-location or multi-site data center environments
Exposure to latency-sensitive infrastructure




Infrastructure-as-Code experience with Ansible or Terraform
Experience with hardware lifecycle management, asset management, or procurement workflows
Experience working in regulated environments with formal change management, audit, and compliance requirements
Knowledge of Disaster Recovery (DR) processes and infrastructure

Roles & Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Python-based infrastructure automation and testing tools
Build integrations with infrastructure APIs, DCIM/IPAM systems, and other platforms
Design and maintain automation workflows and CI/CD pipelines
Work with NetBox or similar platforms for infrastructure data modeling and automation
Support automation across servers, networking equipment, and data center infrastructure
Collaborate with infrastructure, networking, data center, and remote execution teams
Research technical problems, evaluate solutions, and recommend improvements
Ensure infrastructure configurations and models accurately represent the physical environment
Support infrastructure lifecycle, change management, and operational processes
Contribute to scalable, reliable, and maintainable automation solutions
