Job Description:

We are looking for a Recruiter to join a Contract assignment supporting student hiring initiatives for AI-focused projects in Kitchener, Ontario. In this role, you will help identify and assess university and college co-op talent by reviewing applications submitted through academic institution portals and conducting structured initial interviews. This opportunity is well suited to someone with strong communication skills, prior recruiting experience, and the ability to engage effectively with emerging technical talent.

Responsibilities:

- Manage recruitment activity for university and college co-op opportunities tied to AI-related project work.
- Review candidate submissions received through post-secondary institution portals and assess alignment with hiring needs.
- Conduct first-round screening conversations using a consistent interview framework to evaluate suitability.
- Communicate clearly with applicants throughout the early stages of the hiring process and maintain a positive candidate experience.




- Partner with hiring stakeholders to support productive shortlisting and selection of student talent.
- Document screening outcomes and provide organized feedback to help move suitable candidates through the recruitment process.

Requirements:

- At least 2 year of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or a related hiring function.

- Proven ability to screen applicants and conduct structured interviews.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with students and stakeholders.

- Experience supporting campus, college, or university recruiting activities is considered a strong asset.

- Familiarity with technical hiring, particularly for software development or related roles, is an asset.

- Ability to review resumes efficiently and make sound preliminary assessments of candidate fit.w2
