The successful candidate will be a key leader in advancing the company's research enterprise, with a focus on strategic leadership in research development, sponsored research services, and institutional research planning. This role involves overseeing a complex portfolio that supports a wide range of stakeholders, including researchers, research teams, faculties, affiliated hospitals, and research institutes. The AVP will be instrumental in the development and advancement of major institutional research initiatives, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, and enhancing the company's capacity to secure and manage significant research investments. As a senior advisor, the AVP will also provide leadership on research strategy, policy, governance, and performance measurement,



while representing the company with various external partners to advance its research mission and global reputation.The ideal candidate for this position at the company will hold a graduate degree and have a proven track record of senior leadership in research administration, strategy, or development within a large, complex organization. Deep knowledge of the Canadian research funding landscape and experience in leading institutional research initiatives and partnerships are essential. The role requires a strategic leader with exceptional relationship-building skills, sound judgment, and the ability to lead high-performing teams. Bilingualism in English and French is a mandatory requirement. The AVP will be at the forefront of a transformative period, leading the implementation of a new integrated research ecosystem model that aims to create a more coordinated, efficient, and researcher-centric service setting.
