Lead Data Engineer Microsoft Fabric

Location: Vancouver, BC Onsite

Role Overview

We are seeking a Lead Data Engineer with 10 15 years of data engineering experience, including 3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience, to lead enterprise-scale data architecture and engineering initiatives. Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture & Leadership

Design enterprise-scale data architectures using Microsoft Fabric.

Lead technical design reviews and architecture discussions.

Establish data engineering standards, best practices, and governance frameworks. Advanced Data Engineering

Design scalable ELT frameworks using Fabric Data Factory, Spark Notebooks, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and OneLake.

Build high-volume customer data pipelines supporting batch and near real-time processing.

Develop reusable ingestion and transformation frameworks.

Optimize large-scale workloads for performance and cost efficiency.



Data Governance & Security

Design data quality frameworks and monitoring solutions.

Implement data lineage, governance, and metadata management standards. Team Leadership

Mentor junior and mid-level data engineers.

Lead code reviews and solution governance activities.

Drive Agile delivery and sprint planning. Required Experience

10 15 years of Data Engineering experience.

3+ years of hands-on Microsoft Fabric experience.

Strong expertise in Fabric Data Factory, Spark, Lakehouse, Warehouse, and OneLake.

Experience designing scalable data pipelines and ELT frameworks.

Robust understanding of data governance, quality, lineage, and metadata management.

Proven technical leadership and mentoring experience.
