A Helping Hand is a locally owned and growing residential and commercial services company looking for reliable, hardworking people to join our team in Golden, BC.

This isn't a job where you'll necessarily do the same thing every day.

One day you may be helping with property maintenance, the next completing a move, yard work, cleaning, snow removal, or preparing a property for its next guests.

We're looking for people who enjoy staying active, can work independently, and take pride in being able to look back at the end of the day and see what they've accomplished.

What We Offer

$23.50–$25.00 per hour, based on experience, skills and abilities

What You'll Be Doing

Depending on the day, work may include:

Residential and commercial property maintenance

Vacation-rental and property turnovers

Residential and commercial cleaning

Moving and lifting furniture, appliances and materials

Yard work and seasonal cleanups

Snow removal

Property checks and preparation

Loading and unloading

General labour

Basic maintenance and repairs

Safely using basic hand tools and equipment

Assisting with a variety of residential and commercial projects

Some jobs are completed as a team, while others require you to work independently and manage your time responsibly.

Who We're Looking For

You don't need the perfect résumé or years of experience.

We're looking for people who are reliable, motivated, willing to learn and take pride in doing a job properly.

Physically capable of active work and lifting

Detail-oriented

Professional and respectful around clients and guests

Comfortable working indoors and outdoors

Able to follow instructions and property-specific checklists

Willing to learn different types of work

Able to communicate when they notice a problem

Committed to completing work to a high standard

Experience in property maintenance, cleaning, construction, landscaping, moving, hospitality, property management or general labour is an asset, but not required for the right person.

Training will be provided.

Transportation

A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation are strongly preferred, as our work takes place at different properties throughout Golden and the surrounding area.

Mileage is reimbursed when a personal vehicle is used for approved business-related travel.

Additional Qualifications

First Aid/CPR and WHMIS certification are considered assets. Applicants without these certifications may be asked to obtain them.

Professional references may be requested.
