Job Summary
Mincon Canada Western Service Center is looking for a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and play a key role in an exciting New Product Introduction (NPI) project.

This is a hands-on prospect to work directly with new drilling technology, customers and engineering teams across the field.

Responsibilities

- Develop a strong mechanical understanding of the drilling system.
- Support field testing, commissioning and troubleshooting.
- Produce engineering drawings for manufacturing.
- Perform stress analysis on system components.
- Analyze drilling performance and bit life data.
- Conduct bit failure mode analysis and prepare performance reports.
- Work with engineering and customers to identify product improvements.
- Review and make basic changes to CAD models.
- Travel extensively, including overnight stays at customer and field locations.

Skills

- Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma.




- 1–3 years of engineering or mechanical experience preferred.
- Basic AutoCAD and mechanical drawing skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Practical, hands-on approach to engineering.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
- Valid driver’s licence.

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
