Position Title: Digital Media & Engagement Coordinator

Position Summary:
The Chilliwack Cultural Centre is seeking a motivated and people-focused Digital Media & Engagement Coordinator to help grow, diversify, and retain our audiences. This role focuses on the Centre’s Social Media presences, patron stewardship, and audience lifecycle management—with particular attention to first-time ticket buyers, repeat attendance, and patron loyalty.
The successful candidate will play a key role in turning interest into attendance, attendance into habit, and habit into long-term engagement.
Responsibilities and Duties:
· Digital Marketing & Communications
o Create, edit and schedule content across social media platforms, including video content
o Create simple graphic design assets for social media, email marketing, digital advertising, and promotional materials
o Create and implement Digital Marketing Campaigns and Programs through Dotdigital
o Support email marketing campaigns focused on:
§ Return attendance
§ Series awareness
§ Last-minute sales
· Audience Development & Ticket Sales Growth
o Support and manage the First-Time Ticket Buyer program, including:
§ Incentives for return attendance
§ Tracking conversion from first-time to repeat buyer
o Assist in developing and executing audience growth strategies for:
§ Recent patrons
§ Younger audiences
§ Underrepresented or emerging audience segments
o Work with the Marketing Manager and Box Office to identify:
§ Sales patterns
§ Attendance gaps
§ Opportunities to improve conversion and retention
o Support targeted outreach initiatives (community groups, partners, special interest segments)
· Patron Programs & Stewardship
o Assist in the administration and stewardship of patron and membership programs.
o Support patron communications that feel personal, timely, and valued
o Coordinate small-scale engagement initiatives
o Utilize Spektrix CRM segmentation to effectively target audience groups for select marketing and development campaigns and initiatives.
· Data, Insights & Reporting
o Track and report on audience engagement and purchase trends
o Assist in maintaining clean audience data in coordination with the Spektrix ticketing systems
· Patron Experience Responsibilities::
o Greet and assist visitors, patrons, and vendors with professionalism and warmth
o Address general inquiries about programming, ticketing, and events
o Serve as a liaison between staff and patrons, providing excellent customer service
o Ensure a high level of patron service for the Chilliwack Cultural Centre
o Maintaining a high level of knowledge of the activities and services offered at the Chilliwack Cultural Centre
· Act as an Ambassador for The Centre when in public
· Participation in the implementation of Chilliwack Arts & Cultural Centre Society Fundraisers
· Adhering to all Chilliwack Cultural Centre policies and procedures
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Required / Core Skills
o Strong interest in arts marketing, audience engagement,
or cultural participation
o Excellent written and verbal communication skills
o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
o Comfort working with data, tracking results, and learning from insights
o Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
· Assets
- Post-secondary education or current enrollment in marketing, communications, arts administration, or a related field, or significant equivalent experience
o Experience with digital marketing or communications
o Familiarity with email marketing platforms and social media scheduling tools
o Experience with CRM or ticketing systems (e.g., Spektrix)
o Interest in audience development, community engagement, or patron experience
o Experience in the arts, non-profit, or cultural sector
Certificates:
- WHMIS (required by BC law)
- Valid Driver’s License (preferred but not required)
Location and Commitment:
· Chilliwack Cultural Centre’s Facility Office
· Offsite events and meetings
· This part‑time position is 28 hours per week and requires a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to support events and meetings.
Wages and Benefits:
- $22.50 per hour
- Vacation pay as per the BC ESA
