We are looking for a General Machinist for one of our manufacturing clients in Peterborough, ON.

Shift - Days/Afternoon

Pay - $30-$45/hr (Depend on experience)

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

- Operate machining equipment to produce precision components, tooling parts, and fixtures according to engineering drawings and tolerances.

- Review blueprints to identify materials, machining methods, dimensions, and tolerances.

- Calculate machine setups, cutting parameters, and tool requirements for optimal machining performance.

- Set up workpieces, establish datum points, and perform machining operations.

- Inspect machined parts using precision measuring tools to ensure dimensional compliance.

- Collaborate with Toolmakers, Engineering,



and Supervisors to resolve machining issues and improve processes.

- Manufacture, grind, and sharpen custom cutting tools as required.

- Communicate production delays and priority concerns to Planners and Program Managers.

Education & Experience:

- Certificate of Qualification as a Machinist

- Grade 12 + 8 years of precision machining experience

- 2-year Mechanical Engineering Technician Diploma + 3 years of precision machining experience.

- Experience in an ISO-certified manufacturing workplace preferred.
