DELIVERY DRIVER

JOB DUTIES:

● Provide any training that team members need for deliveries and pickups, and the safe way of transporting the items.

● Communicate transparent instruction to team members and monitor team members participation to ensure the training they have been provided is being put into use, and to see if any additional training is needed

● Follow safety procedures of the job site requirements and distribute reports to the appropriate personnel

● Review your route, make sure you have enough information to contact the client, e.g., name, phone number, maps or locates if needed.

● Provide description of changes with specific information about orders, accesses, obstacles, and requirements you needed to get the work order successfully completed

● Enter data into the POR system and maintain logs and records of activities, and other information in regard to the work orders

● Suggest types of or amounts of equipment,



vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications

● Ensure trucks are clean and in working order

● Read, understand and apply the Modern Rentals standards and Practices Guide

● Report directly to the warehouse dispatch

● Perform other duties as assigned

Education, Skills & Requirements:

Must have been driving for over 5 yrs and Clean drivers abstract

● A high school diploma or equivalent but not required

● Ability to lead a team and ensure all safety standards are met

● Must be able to lift and carry 75+lbs. over significant distances

● Must be able to stand and be physically be active for hours at a time

● 2+ years box truck driving experience

● Ability to work under pressure and attention to details

● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills● Effective written and oral communication skills● Some nights/ weekend work required● Valid driver’s license and clean driving record

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 40.0 per week
