Content & UX Strategist (Contract, Remote in Canada)

Monochrome Marketing is a Calgary-based organic marketing agency. We're looking for a content and UX strategist to take on a set of client accounts and own them. This is a contract role for someone who already works independently and wants steady agency work alongside their own clients.

The details

- 15 to 25 hours a week, ongoing
- $50+/hour, depending on experience
- Remote, but you need to be based in Canada
- Independent contract

The work

- Running content and UX strategy for a handful of our client accounts
- Building content plans from search data, and looking at how clients show up in LLMs
- Reviewing site structure, page flow and on-page copy, and telling us what's getting in the way of leads or sales
- Writing briefs for our content writers and reviewing drafts before they go to the client
- Being the main contact for your accounts: check-ins, updates, and answering questions before they turn into problems
- Keeping your work moving in Teamwork and flagging issues early

What you bring

- 3+ years in content strategy, UX,



or SEO content. Agency experience is a big plus
- You run your own freelance business and have current clients
- Claude is part of your daily work. You have skills and workflows set up, not just a chat window open for the odd email
- You can manage multiple clients without things slipping
- You're comfortable in GSC, GA4 and Semrush
- You write clearly and can explain the "why" to a client who isn't a marketer
- WordPress experience
- Wireframing and an eye for design
