Purpose and Scope
The Die Tuner assists in the adjustment, and maintenance of dies used in manufacturing processes. This role involves supporting the die tuning team by ensuring dies are properly aligned and calibrated to produce high-quality parts and components. The Die Tuner works under the guidance of senior die tuners and supervisors to learn and develop skills in die tuning and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

- Fine-tune and adjust dies to achieve optimal performance and precision.
- Work with programmers to modify dies as needed to meet production requirements Ensure that all adjustments are made according to technical specifications and blueprints.
- Conduct thorough inspections of dies before, during, and after production to ensure they meet specified standards. Perform functional tests on dies to evaluate their performance, identifying any defects or areas for improvement.
- Use precision measurement tools to verify that dies are within tolerances and specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on dies to ensure their longevity and reliability.
- Collaborate with programming team to repair or replace worn or damaged components.
- Ensure all tools and equipment used in tuning and testing are properly maintained and calibrated.
- Accurately document all adjustments, test results, and findings in logs or electronic systems.
- Prepare detailed reports on die performance, issues encountered, and corrective actions taken.




- Communicate findings and recommendations to the Supervisor/Manager.
- Provide feedback to the production and engineering teams on die performance, suggesting modifications to improve quality and efficiency.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing downtime, improving product quality, and enhancing production processes.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in die tuning and testing technologies.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies when tuning and testing dies.
- Ensure that all tuning and testing activities comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Participate in safety audits and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
- Other duties as assigned

Job Specifications

- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Technical training or certification in tool and die making, die tuning, or a related field is preferred.
- Previous experience in die tuning, testing, or tool and die work in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid mechanical background with hands-on experience using precision measurement tools.
- Basic understanding of die setup and adjustment procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Good manual dexterity

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour
