GlassMate Window Cleaning is looking for a High-Rise Window Cleaner to join our team in Ottawa.
We are specifically looking for candidates with previous high-rise window cleaning experience in Canada. If you have experience working at heights and using professional high-rise access systems, we would like to hear from you.
This is a full-time seasonal position running approximately March through November each year, with the potential to return for future seasons.
Pay:
$20–$40/hour depending on experience, skills and certifications.
Candidates with strong high-rise experience, rope-access experience and relevant certifications can qualify for the higher end of the pay range.
Responsibilities
- Perform professional high-rise exterior window cleaning
- Work safely at significant heights
- Operate high-rise access systems and equipment
- Perform window cleaning using rope access, bosun's chair, and other approved access systems, depending on the job
- Inspect and properly use safety equipment and personal protective equipment
- Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures
- Maintain excellent cleaning quality and attention to detail
- Work efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on safety
- Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers and clients
- Maintain and properly care for company equipment
- Report equipment problems, hazards or safety concerns to management
- Assist with other exterior cleaning services when required
Requirements
- Previous high-rise window cleaning experience
- Experience working at heights
- Ability and willingness to work at significant heights
- Strong understanding of high-rise safety procedures
- Reliable and punctual
- Physically capable of performing demanding outdoor work
- Valuable attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Must be 18 years of age or older
This position is NOT intended for someone with only residential window-cleaning experience.
We are specifically looking for someone who has actually worked on high-rise buildings in Canada and understands the equipment, safety requirements and working conditions involved.

When there is a high-rise job, you are assigned to that project. when there is no high rise job, you can join the residential window cleaning team.
