About the Role

We are looking for a responsible, hardworking, and dependable Dog Care Attendant to join our team. Previous hands-on experience caring for dogs is required.

We place a robust emphasis on taking work seriously, arriving on time, and maintaining excellent cleanliness. This role involves active supervision, daily care, and regular cleaning—not just playing with dogs. The right candidate will stay focused, follow instructions carefully, and complete tasks thoroughly.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide attentive care and supervision to keep dogs safe and comfortable.
- Prepare meals, refill water bowls, and follow individual care instructions.
- Assist with playtime, exercise, and bathroom routines.
- Clean up urine and feces promptly.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize dog areas, floors, bowls, bedding, and equipment.
- Follow daily cleaning checklists and keep the workplace clean, organized, and ready for the next shift.
- Monitor dogs for changes in behaviour, appetite, or health and report concerns promptly.
- Complete assigned duties carefully and on time, and take initiative when additional work needs attention.
- Communicate clearly with coworkers and provide accurate shift handovers.

- High cleaning standards: You understand that cleaning is a major part of animal care and are comfortable handling messes throughout every shift.
- Relevant experience: You have hands-on dog care experience through pet sitting, dog daycare, boarding, shelter work, a veterinary setting, or a similar role.
- Patience and care: You handle dogs gently and remain calm in a busy environment.
- Teamwork and independence: You follow care and safety procedures, work well with others, and manage routine tasks independently.
- Availability: You can work 2–5 days per week during the listed shifts.

- What would you do if a dog stopped eating, appeared unwell, or showed signs of stress?
