The Counter Supervisor is a key member of the Front of House Team, enhancing guest experience by overseeing daily to-go counter operations, ensuring a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere for all guests. This role focuses on providing exceptional service while maintaining Bardo's high standards of quality and energy. The Counter Supervisor actively engages with guests as a counter server, contributing to both guest service and operational efficiency, while supporting the team and management to ensure smooth operations.
*This position requires daytime, weekend, and holiday work. Flexible availability is vital in a successful candidate.*
Compensation for this role is estimated at $22.00/hour, plus direct tips from guests. Tip amounts are paid directly by guests. Actual amounts will vary depending on factors such as guest volume and seasonality. While tips are not guaranteed, they can be a meaningful part of overall earnings in this position.

Key Accountabilities:
- Greet guests with warmth and enthusiasm,
making them feel welcome from the moment they arrive.
- Master the menu, confidently assisting guests with recommendations and answering questions about ingredients, allergens, and preparation.
- Ensure team members are fully trained on menu details, enabling them to confidently discuss menu offerings and enhance the guest experience. Working closely with the back-of-house team to address allergies and dietary restrictions, ensuring guest safety and satisfaction.
- Act as an expert and trainer on all operational systems, procedures, and standards, ensuring team adherence and consistency.
- Perform on-the-spot guest service recovery to resolve issues promptly, advocating for outstanding guest experiences.
- Assist with inventory management, ordering, and stocking supplies, ensuring easy access to necessary items.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, enter them into the POS system, and communicate any special requests to the kitchen.
- Prepare coffee, tea, and specialty beverages according to Bardo’s standards, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Thoughtfully package takeout orders, confirming accuracy and including all necessary utensils and condiments.
- Process guest payments efficiently, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with accuracy.
- Maintain cleanliness of the service counter, beverage stations, and surrounding areas throughout the shift.
Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a clean and safe environment for guests and team members.
- Work with a sense of urgency during peak hours while staying composed and focused on service quality.
- Take initiative during slower periods by restocking, cleaning, or assisting teammates as needed.
