The clinic is well designed in order to facilitate good workflow, and we have space to grow. Coxwell currently has two full time and one part time vets, equipped with a well rounded support staff and a outstanding management team to support our staff. Our new registered veterinary technician will be an integral part of our team.

The role of the RVT is one that demands great versatility. Your primary objectives are excellent client and patient care at all times. Your time will be divided amongst client communication, assisting with doctor appointments, carrying out technician appointments, monitoring surgery, and tending to any hospitalized patients. It is our commitment and pleasure to work with our clients to ensure we provide the best advice and care at all times.

RVT duties may include but aren't limited to,

- Hospital clean up and maintenance

- Educate clients on basic animal wellness issues such as vaccines, spaying, neutering, nutrition, and parasite prevention.

- Client communication and education throughout appointments and follow up calls/emails





- Restraining animals for the doctor to provide treatments while ensuring patient wellbeing and utilizing fear free handling techniques

- Patient care such as walking, feeding, providing litterboxes and water. Ensuring the overall cleanliness and comfort of our patients for the entire duration of their stay with us

- Calculate and administer medications

- Confident injection skills by intramuscular, intravenous and subcutaneous routes

- Confident with anesthesia monitoring and troubleshooting. The RVT will be expected to maintain balanced anesthesia using a combination of inhalant and injectable medications.

The ideal candidate will have;

- Graduated from an accredited school and obtained their registration

- A background with a strong focus on excellent customer service (required)

- Outgoing personality with willingness to learn

- Excellent attention to detail

- Able to work with a team and individually

- Quick learner

- Excellent communication skills.

This position will be full time. Our clinic is open (Mon - Sat) and shifts vary so flexibility is key.
