Daycare Director / Level 3 Early Childhood Educator

Tiny Genius Daycare is a brand-new centre, and we’re looking for a director who is excited to help build it from the beginning. This is an opportunity for an experienced early childhood leader to shape a warm, engaging program, establish strong daily practices, and help families feel confident choosing our centre.

You’ll work closely with the owner and take responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the daycare. We’re looking for someone who is just as comfortable supporting educators in the classroom as they are meeting prospective families, organizing schedules, and keeping the centre ready for licensing visits.

What you’ll do

- Lead daily operations, staffing, classroom routines, and program quality.
- Hire, coach, and support educators as the centre grows.
- Create a welcoming experience for families, including tours, enrolment conversations, and ongoing communication.
- Build practical systems for attendance, documentation, health and safety, and staff communication.
- Support a caring, play-based program that meets children’s developmental needs.




- Maintain licensing standards and prepare the centre for inspections.
- Work with the owner on enrolment goals, community relationships, and plans for growth.

What you bring

- Alberta Level 3 Early Childhood Educator certification.
- Experience leading a licensed childcare centre or serving in a senior childcare leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of Alberta childcare licensing requirements.
- Experience opening a new centre, growing enrolment, or improving centre operations is a strong asset.
- A calm, hands-on leadership style and genuine care for children, families, and staff.
- Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
