Job Title: Accounting and Assurance Manager

Job Summary: We are hiring an experienced Accounting & Assurance Manager for our client, an established and highly regarded public accounting firm. This is a great opportunity for a CPA-designated professional with 5+ years of public practice experience to take on a leadership role within a collaborative and growing team.

In this position, you will oversee accounting and assurance engagements, review financial statements, provide guidance on corporate and personal tax matters, and ensure work is completed in accordance with Canadian accounting and assurance standards. You will also play an important role in managing client relationships, mentoring team members, and helping drive the success of the Accounting & Assurance department.

The ideal candidate is a strong technical accounting professional and people leader who takes ownership of their work, communicates confidently with clients and colleagues, and enjoys supporting the development and success of their team.

Job Location: London, ON

Job Type: Full-time, permanent.

Compensation Structure: $90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year (depending on experience) + RRSP matching + great benefits + career development & training + more!

Note: Client is open to a Senior Manager filling this role, which would increase the compensation according to candidate’s skills and experience.

Responsibilities:

- Review financial statements and supporting documentation prepared by junior and intermediate team members to ensure accuracy and quality.




- Ensure all client engagements comply with applicable Canadian accounting and assurance standards and firm requirements.
- Oversee the preparation and review of corporate and personal tax returns, providing guidance to the team and ensuring compliance with current requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a key point of contact and ensuring client needs are addressed effectively.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the Accounting and Assurance team, taking ownership of team performance and contributing to the overall success of the department.
- Other duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications:

· CPA designation with 5+ years of experience in public practice.

· Strong background in assurance services, with hands-on experience managing and executing engagements.

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with both clients and colleagues.

· Comprehensive knowledge of Canadian financial reporting standards and the ability to apply them effectively in practice.

· Strong sense of accountability with the ability to take ownership of assignments, follow through on commitments, and deliver high-quality work.
