Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Construction Onsite project Coordinator, located in Toronto, ON. The Construction Onsite project Coordinator will help the team working with architects, engineers, and contractors, and help planning process through large mid rise and luxury properties. Responsibilities include managing development documentation and contracts, preparing budgets, permits, or project schedules and liaising with municipalities and consultants.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Development Planning
- Assist with compilation and submission of documents required for development applications including (Regional Plan Amendments, Zoning Amendments, Site Plan Approval and Conservation and Stormwater Management Permits)
- Coordinate and track site plan approval processes
- Assist and provide support to construction managers at meetings to identify problems and create solutions
- Coordinate and track the project delivery schedule with construction project manager
- Project Accountability and Responsibility
- Provide administrative support as required to the development team to assist with various projects and assignments
- Review consultant and contractor/supplier proposals and prepare consultant and contractor/supplier agreements
- Work with construction and estimation team to prepare work scopes
- Manage deficiencies/punch lists
- Develop and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, design firms, specification writers, consultants, developers, and other industry professionals.
- Onsite Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents accurately
- Act as the main on-site contact for consultants, inspectors, and client representatives; coordinate meetings and provide regular updates to the project team.
- Supervise subcontractors and site staff, run daily check-ins, assign tasks, and ensure work aligns with project drawings and schedules..
- Perform hands-on maintenance tasks as required, such as cleaning up the site, performing site measurements
- You are people oriented but also have the ability to stand your ground firmly.
- Ensure assigned projects are completed according to the contract documents
- Safeguard materials, tools, and equipment; maintain a good inventory list
- Monitor and manage property budgets, expenses, and resources effectively.
- Available for weekend work as needed to address emergencies and supervise scheduled maintenances/work in office.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to interact professionally with consultants, contractors, municipalities, and team members.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to review documentation, track project milestones, and maintain accurate records.
- Basic understanding of project budgeting, cost tracking, and purchase order management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify issues and assist in developing practical solutions.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable interpreting project schedules, reports, and construction-related documentation.
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, Architecture, Urban Planning, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
- 2 years of experience in project coordination, construction administration, real estate development, property management, or a related field.
- Exposure to budgeting, scheduling, vendor coordination, permitting, or contract administration is an asset.

Pay: $60,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
