OVERVIEW

Our client, a leading organization with a strong reputation for operational excellence across multiple industries, is seeking a Cleaner / Painter for their Sturgeon Falls location.

This is a hands-on position focused on maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility while assisting with painting, surface preparation, and general upkeep throughout the plant. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in an industrial environment and completing a variety of physical cleaning and maintenance-related tasks.

Our client is looking for someone who is reliable, safety-minded, able to work independently, and willing to take on a variety of cleaning, painting, and general labour duties as required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Complete general cleaning and housekeeping throughout production and work areas.
- Sweep, mop, wipe down, and clean floors, walls, workstations, and other facility areas as required.
- Remove debris, waste, and materials from work areas and dispose of them appropriately.
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping, sanding, or wiping down surfaces as required.
- Complete painting and touch-up work using brushes, rollers, and other appropriate tools.
- Protect surrounding areas and equipment prior to painting by masking or covering surfaces as required.
- Maintain painting, cleaning, and general work supplies in an organized manner.
- Keep work areas clean and safe before, during, and after completing assigned tasks.
- Follow all established health and safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
- Report unsafe conditions, damaged equipment, or maintenance concerns to the supervisor.




- Work independently to complete assigned cleaning and painting tasks.
- Assist with other general labour, housekeeping, or facility maintenance duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

- Previous experience in industrial cleaning, painting, general labour, manufacturing, or a similar environment is considered an asset.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Previous painting or surface preparation experience is considered an asset.
- Ability to safely use basic cleaning equipment, hand tools, brushes, rollers, and related equipment.
- Ability to perform physically demanding work involving standing, walking, bending, lifting, reaching, and repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain clean and organized work areas.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and established work processes.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent attendance.
- Comfortable working independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to contribute effectively as part of a team.
