Supervisor - Dispatch/Operations Centre (Shopping Mall)

Concord Security has a great opportunity for a Control Supervisor to join our high profile team at one of the biggest and busiest shopping centres! This position requires strong communication skills, robust conflict resolution skills, and impeccable leadership management skills, along with the ability to multi-task and remain organized in a busy setting!

Pay Rate: $27 - $28.50/hour

Shift Times: 0700-1500/1500 - 2300

Responsibilities

- Provide great customer service in a challenging and dynamic environment
- Monitor CCTV systems, alarm systems and emergency response to ensure safety and access in accordance with the site policies and procedures
- Write clear and detailed reports, including incident, emergency, liability and day to day reports. Responding promptly to the client when questioned about details.
- De-escalate crisis situations, provide support to the control officers on-duty and liaise with emergency personnel, including; police, fire and paramedic resources
- Conduct call-outs to 9-1-1, after-hours emergency contacts, officers and the client.




- Complete shift logs and ensure that pass-ons are effectively communicated between on-coming and off-going staff
- Utilize two-way radios and computer applications to communicate site activities to the officers, mechanical, and janitorial teams.
- Assist the supervisory teams with investigations and operational tasks/audits.
- Oversee the control room operations and supervise the control officers on-duty

Requirements:

- Minimum of three years of work experience in the security industry
- Minimum of one year of experience in a dispatch/control officer role is required
- Prior experience in a supervisory role is preferred
- Prior experience working in customer service is an asset
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service, active listening, and observational skills
- Ability to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergency response situations
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well with others in order to achieve collective goals
- Must be able to use programs like Avigilon, Genetec and Microsoft
