Job Description:

Peak of the Market Ltd. is hiring a motivated and organized Grader/Packer. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality products while fostering an inclusive and collaborative working setting. As a Grader/Packer, you will be responsible for the visual inspection, assessment and sorting of fresh produce regarding quality and freshness. You will work as part of a team to ensure the quality and safety of our products, as well as the efficiency and cleanliness of our facility.

Responsibilities

- Visually inspect incoming produce for quality defects and make sorting decisions based on pre-defined criteria
- Handle all produce and material in a safe manner to prevent damage and waste
- Complete required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
- Clean work areas and equipment
- Assist with other production jobs including trimming and packaging when required
- Follow health and safety regulations and procedures
- Communicate and co-operate with all growers, customers, suppliers, and staff
- Learning on the job and following instructions from management




- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

- Labourer work experience, previous experience working with fresh produce considered an asset
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work well with others and follow direction
- Courteous and friendly
- Grade 12 and related work experience
- Handle weights up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to tolerate cool temperatures, loud noise, and stand for long periods of time
- Flexibility to work shifts as required
- Must be bondable

Rate of Pay: $18.53 – $22.47 per hour as per the Collective Agreement

Shifts: Days, Evenings

Expected start date: As Soon As Possible

Pay: $18.53-$22.47 per hour
