About Us
Seaside Home Veterinary Care is an in-home veterinary service whose purpose is building meaningful relationships with our clients in the communities we serve. We do this by communicating readily and frequently with our clients, listening to their needs, and getting to know their animals in an inherently intimate setting – their own home.
Our mission is to provide relationship driven in-home veterinary care to those that desire, or require it, while providing a high quality work environment with a great culture for all those who are part of our team. Part of this involves having a great team where everyone knows what is expected of them, and has the tools necessary to perform their job well.
We also have well-defined values that we consider when making all of our decisions, so it is key that you are familiar with, and share these values, if you join the team. These values are:
· We aim to be humble and realize that we all have room for growth.
· We hold ourselves, and one another, accountable for our actions, words, and expectations.
· We can be trusted to keep our promises, help one another, and show up as our best selves each day.
· We keep kindness at the top of our priority list each day, both when it comes to our clients, colleagues, and one another, always choosing to help when we can, even if it’s just in a small way.
· We value integrity and making our decisions based on what is right and moral.
· We are adaptable and flexible in a way that allows us to still bend where necessary to help, rather than following a formula when responding to unique situations.
We are dead serious about these values, as they form the basis of our work culture. If they align with you, please keep reading! If not, no problem, but this is probably not your next move.
About the Job
We are looking for a kind, compassionate, patient,
and organized leader to join our tight-knit team as a Client Care Specialist.
In this role, you will be answering client inquiries via telephone, email, Facebook, and Instagram, as well as reaching out to clients for appointment reminders, follow-ups, and any other things as required. This involves being a great listener, and being very comfortable talking with people about painful emotions, as well as relating with people about their pets and the various things they may be experiencing. You need to have a fine attention to detail to make sure to take in these conversations, and to discern how we can best serve these clients. Our whole team plays a role in relationship building with our clients, but our Client Care Specialist is the first point of contact so your role is incredibly important in showing our client’s what they mean to us.
The ideal candidate will be very organized and will thrive in an environment where there is always something that can be done. Keeping tight track and control of all of our incoming product and medication orders so that they are delivered quickly and efficiently to our clients is an important responsibility in this role as well. All team members are also required to keep our clients informed about what goes on behind the scenes in our business, so thinking of creative ways to post to social media about your day to day can be a fun break from other tasks as well!
Another important to note aspect of this job is a rotating responsibility for planning and facilitating (with the Veterinarian) regular trips to Grand Manan Island to see in-home Veterinary appointments. It is To Be Determined whether this position will include trips to Grand Manan, but the planning of the trips (which is an administrative task) will be within the scope of the position.
Some cross training with assisting the Veterinarian or Veterinary Technician at mobile appointments will possibly done, to allow for assistance required during vacations,
or when the schedule requires it. Teamwork, adaptability, and flexibility will be major assets in this position!
About You
You are an enthusiastic, driven, compassionate soul who has a built in drive to go the extra mile for people.
A day in a clean and cozy office spent responding to incoming inquiries and jumping at the chances you have to make someone’s day sounds like the perfect way to feel fulfilled to you. You are probably known for being a great listener, and all of your friends turn to you when they need someone they know will care. They know that you will also do everything you can to help!
You notice even the tiniest little differences in or changes to things, and you have been told on many occasions that “organized” should be your middle name. You are comfortable with unpredictability and get excited about contributing your own zest for organization to the team. If you prefer to live life with “organized chaos” or “absolute chaos”, this is probably not the role for you. You will be our prized team member if you are masterful at the art of organization.
In short, you are very organized with high attention to detail, you love to help people, you are a outstanding listener, and you are up for caring the living daylights out of pets, and their families, and your teammates.
Location and Start Date
