Job Summary
Robinson Motor Company, is seeking a skilled and motivated Lube Technician to join our automotive service team. The ideal candidate will perform routine vehicle maintenance, including oil changes and basic inspections, ensuring customer vehicles are serviced efficiently and to the highest standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for automotive repair and maintenance to develop their skills in a professional dealership environment.
Duties
- Perform oil and filter changes using appropriate tools and equipment
- Perform tire repairs - tire rotates - tire replacement - wheel balance
- Conduct basic vehicle inspections to identify potential issues
- Assist with fluid top-offs, tire rotations, and other routine maintenance tasks
- Use hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure all tools are properly stored after use
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining services performed and addressing customer questions
- Support the Service Advisors team by recommending additional services or products when appropriate
- Assist Mechanics as needed
- Follow dealership safety protocols and maintain compliance with company policies
Requirements
- Previous dealership experience or mechanical experience preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and repairs
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely (up to 50 pounds) as required for vehicle maintenance tasks
- Knowledge of automotive repair procedures and safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic sales skills to recommend additional services or products when appropriate
- Required Drivers license with clean drivers abstract
- Required Criminal record abstract
