Hidden beneath The Grove Hotel in downtown Kingsville, Rathskellar 1854 is getting ready to open its doors.

A little old-world soul. A little contemporary edge. Serious cocktails without taking ourselves too seriously. And the kind of hospitality that makes one drink quietly turn into three.

We're looking for Cocktail Servers to join the founding team and help bring Rathskellar to life.

This isn't traditional turn-and-burn restaurant service. Rathskellar is an intimate, seated cocktail lounge built around conversation, craftsmanship and connection. We're looking for people who understand that great service isn't simply taking an order. It's making someone feel genuinely looked after.

The Grove Hospitality Group is an independent, locally owned hospitality company based in Kingsville, Ontario. Our collection includes boutique accommodations and unique hospitality experiences, all built around thoughtful design, genuine hospitality and doing things a little differently.

What You'll Do

As a Cocktail Server at Rathskellar 1854, you'll work alongside our Founding Lead Bartender, bartenders and culinary team to create a guest experience that feels warm, polished and completely natural.

Responsibilities include:

- Welcoming guests and helping set the tone for their Rathskellar experience
- Providing attentive, knowledgeable table service without hovering
- Guiding guests through our cocktail, spirits, wine, beer and food menus
- Taking and delivering orders accurately and efficiently
- Providing thoughtful water service throughout the guest experience




- Learning the menu well enough to answer questions and make confident recommendations
- Anticipating guest needs and recognizing when a table needs attention
- Clearing, cleaning and resetting tables
- Maintaining clean, polished and organized guest areas
- Communicating closely with the bar and culinary team throughout service
- Completing opening and closing duties
- Following Smart Serve and responsible alcohol service requirements
- Helping establish the service standards and culture of Rathskellar from opening day forward

We're Looking For Someone Who

- Genuinely enjoys talking to and looking after people
- Is warm, confident and comfortable interacting with different personalities
- Pays attention to what's happening around them
- Can read a room and recognize when a guest needs something
- Stays calm, organized and friendly when things get busy
- Is curious and willing to learn about cocktails, spirits, wine, beer and food
- Is comfortable making recommendations once they've learned the menu
- Is dependable, accountable and works well as part of a small team
- Is available to work evenings, weekends and holidays
- Holds a valid Smart Serve certification

Previous serving or hospitality experience is an asset, but not required. We're equally interested in personality,



curiosity and genuine hospitality.

Bonus Points If You Have

- Previous serving or hospitality experience
- Experience in a cocktail bar, upscale restaurant, winery, hotel or similar hospitality environment
- Knowledge of cocktails, wine, beer or spirits
- Wine, beer or spirits education or certifications
- Experience opening a new restaurant or bar
