About Malivoire

Malivoire Wine Company is a certified sustainable estate winery on the Beamsville Bench in Niagara, Ontario, established in 1998. We've built our reputation on thoughtful, terroir driven winemaking and a genuine welcome in our tasting room. We're looking for someone who shares our passion for Ontario wine and can bring that same warmth to every guest who walks through our doors.

The Role

As a Guest Experience Associate, you'll be the face of Malivoire in our retail store and tasting room, guiding guests through tastings, sharing the stories behind our winery and wines, and helping them find something they'll love and want to come back for. This role blends hospitality, wine education, and retail sales, so we're looking for someone who's equally comfortable pouring a glass, answering a technical question, comfortable making sales and confidently inviting a guest to join our wine club.

What You'll Do

- Welcome guests and lead tastings that are informative, personable, and paced to the guest, whether they're wine novices or wine aficionados
- Speak knowledgeably about our wines, winemaking approach, and the Beamsville Bench/Niagara wine region
- Recommend wines based on guests' tastes and answer questions about pairing, style, and production
- Confidently and naturally introduce guests to our wine club and membership benefits
- Process retail sales and maintain an organized, welcoming retail store
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals.
- Support special events, private tastings, and seasonal promotions as needed




- Represent Malivoire's brand and values in every guest interaction
- Provide knowledgeable and enthusiastic service to Malivoire Wine Club members and Help create a personalized experience for our valued club members
- Explain wine club benefits and encourage new memberships when appropriate.

What We're Looking For

- A genuine passion for Ontario wine. You should be curious about and enthusiastic about what's happening in Niagara and Ontario wine more broadly.
- Solid wine knowledge, or a real eagerness to build it quickly, we'll support you with product training, but you should be comfortable learning on your feet.
- A warm, approachable personality. You put people at ease, read a room well, and make guests feel like they matter, whether they're spending $25 or $300.
- Comfortable with sales. You can recommend a bottle or a club membership in a way that feels like a genuine suggestion, not a pitch.
- Reliability and professionalism, including comfort with point-of-sale systems and handling cash/card transactions.

Qualifications and Experience

- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, tourism, customer service or sales is an asset.
- Wine, beverage or hospitality experience is an asset.




- Formal wine education (WSET, Sommolier) or certification is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in hospitality, tourism, business, wine, culinary or a related field is an asset.
- Smart Serve certification is required or must be obtained prior to serving alcohol.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays and during peak winery periods (May to October).
- Must be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods and performing light lifting and stocking duties.
- Bilingual (English and French) is an asset, though not required.
