Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Bricklayer to join our agile construction team for multiple construction sites around the Ottawa area. In this role, you will be responsible for laying bricks, blocks, and stones to construct, restore, and enhance various structures. Your expertise will contribute to building durable, aesthetically pleasing walls, facades, and other masonry features.

Duties

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine project requirements.
- Lay bricks, blocks, stones, and other masonry materials with precision using hand tools such as trowels, levels, and chisels.
- Operate power tools including mixers, saws, drills, and heavy equipment necessary for large-scale restoration or renovation projects.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying mortar or caulking to ensure strong adhesion and finish quality.
- Collaborate with architects and construction managers to ensure projects meet specifications and safety standards.




- Assist in the installation of structural elements during renovation or restoration projects involving historic buildings or modern facades.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing materials and safely handling debris throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in construction or masonry work with a strong understanding of bricklaying techniques.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as trowels, hammers, chisels, levels, and measuring devices.
- Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively on various job sites.
- Knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics to accurately execute project plans.
- Experience with renovation or restoration projects involving historic or existing structures.
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation relevant to construction sites is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent teamwork skills to ensure quality craftsmanship.

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour

Experience:

- Bricklaying: 3 years (preferred)
