Hoover Mechanical Plumbing & Heating Ltd. is expanding our Edmonton operations and is looking for experienced Journeyman Plumbers to join our field team.

We have a strong pipeline of commercial and multi-residential work and are looking for plumbers who take pride in their trade, work well as part of a crew and want the stability of a long-term position with an established mechanical contractor.

The Role

You'll work as part of a Hoover project team delivering commercial and multi-residential plumbing installations throughout the Edmonton area.

Your work may include:

- Plumbing rough-in and installation
- Drainage, waste and vent systems
- Domestic water distribution
- Mechanical room installations
- Fixtures and equipment
- Reading and interpreting construction drawings
- Layout and coordination




- Testing and commissioning
- Working with apprentices and helping develop less experienced members of the crew
- Maintaining Hoover's standards for safety, workmanship and productivity

The exact responsibilities will depend on your experience and the project.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for Journeyman Plumbers who:

- Hold a recognized Journeyman Plumber certification from a Canadian province or territory
- Have solid construction plumbing experience
- Produce quality work and take pride in their trade
- Can read drawings and work independently when required
- Work effectively with Foremen, other trades and apprentices
- Understand that productivity and safety go together
- Are dependable and able to reliably attend projects throughout the Edmonton area

Commercial and/or multi-residential construction experience is preferred.

Experience leading small crews, coordinating work or mentoring apprentices is an asset for candidates interested in future leadership opportunities.
