Job Description
Senior Recruiter – High Volume / Retail Banking - JOB- 37503
Location: Downtown Toronto, ON – Hybrid
Hybrid Requirement: 1–2 days per week onsite
Duration: 12-month contract
Contract Dates: November 9, 2026 – November 8, 2027
Rate: $40–$50/hour, Inc.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Extension: Possible
Conversion to Permanent: Possible

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Recruiter to join the Talent Acquisition team of a large financial services organization.
This is a high-volume, full-cycle recruitment role primarily supporting retail hiring. The successful candidate will manage recruitment from initial intake through offer and onboarding while partnering closely with Hiring Managers across multiple locations.
We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys recruitment, thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively manage a high volume of requisitions and candidates without compromising the candidate or Hiring Manager experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process from intake through offer
- Conduct intake meetings with Hiring Managers to understand current and future hiring requirements
- Open and manage requisitions and maintain accurate recruitment records
- Develop effective sourcing and recruitment strategies for high-volume hiring needs
- Source and engage qualified active and passive candidates
- Screen and interview candidates
- Coordinate interviews and final-round discussions with Hiring Managers
- Prepare and manage offers and support background-check processes
- Build and maintain strong candidate pipelines for current and future hiring needs
- Support and participate in hiring events and recruitment initiatives
- Partner with Hiring Managers as a trusted Talent Advisor
- Provide market intelligence and recommendations regarding talent availability and sourcing strategies
- Build strong relationships with Hiring Managers, HR partners and other internal stakeholders
- Maintain accurate recruitment metrics,
tracking and reporting
- Monitor recruitment activity including time to hire, pipeline activity, compliance and escalations
- Ensure recruitment processes comply with established policies and hiring practices
- Contribute to recruitment projects and pipeline initiatives
- Support employer branding and talent attraction activities
- Represent the organization at recruitment and hiring events when required
- Deliver a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment lifecycle
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5–7 years of recruitment experience, with banking
Strong full-cycle recruitment experience
- Demonstrated experience managing high-volume recruitment
- Experience working within a corporate or enterprise environment
- Strong experience partnering directly with Hiring Managers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Strong recruitment tracking and reporting experience
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple requisitions, candidates and competing priorities simultaneously
- Strong attention to detail
- Post-secondary education
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous banking or financial services recruitment experience
- Experience supporting retail banking or high-volume branch hiring
- Combination of corporate and agency recruitment experience
- Experience within a large enterprise organization
- Experience developing talent pipelines and proactive sourcing strategies
- Experience participating in or coordinating hiring events
- Understanding of recruitment metrics and market intelligence
- Knowledge of employment practices and policies related to recruitment and selection

Team & Work Environment
You will join a collaborative Talent Acquisition team of approximately six recruiters supporting a large financial services organization.
The role involves significant interaction with Hiring Managers and candidates. A typical day will include intake discussions, candidate interviews, Hiring Manager meetings, requisition management, sourcing, pipeline development, offers and recruitment administration.
Approximately half of the day may be spent in meetings and candidate interviews, so strong organization and time management are essential.
Initial training, knowledge transfer and job shadowing will be provided.
This is a strong opportunity for an experienced recruiter who enjoys high-volume hiring, building relationships with Hiring Managers and helping candidates advance their careers within a large enterprise environment.
