PART-TIME RECREATIONAL GYMNASTICS COACHES

Bancroft, Ontario | Opening September 2026

Kawartha Gymnastics is expanding to Bancroft with the opening of KG North this September, and we are looking for enthusiastic part-time Recreational Gymnastics Coaches to join our team!

Kawartha Gymnastics is an established not-for-profit gymnastics organization with our main location in Peterborough, Ontario. Since 1971, we have been committed to providing safe, inclusive and positive gymnastics experiences for children and youth. As we build our recreational programming at KG North, we are looking for coaches who enjoy working with children and want to help create a welcoming, high-quality program for the Bancroft community.

The Role

Recreational coaches will lead and assist with structured gymnastics classes for children of varying ages and abilities. Coaches are responsible for creating a fun and encouraging environment while teaching age-appropriate gymnastics skills, supporting athlete development and maintaining a strong focus on safety.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who:

· Have previous gymnastics experience as an athlete and/or coach.

· Hold NCCP Foundations certification through Gymnastics Ontario or a higher level of certification.

· Enjoy working with children and can create a positive, encouraging learning environment.

· Are reliable, confident, organized and comfortable working as part of a team.

· Communicate professionally with athletes, families and fellow staff.

· Are committed to athlete safety, inclusion and continued learning.

Qualifications

· NCCP Foundations certification through Gymnastics Ontario or higher.





· Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.

· Successful Vulnerable Sector Police Record Check.

· Applicants who have gymnastics experience and are interested in coaching but still need to complete required training are encouraged to apply. Training pathways can be discussed with successful candidates.

Availability

We are currently seeking part-time coaches with availability on weekdays, weeknights and weekends (Saturdays). Schedules will be developed based on programming needs and candidate availability.
