Location: Lil’ Dancing Owls Educational Daycare - 1896 Tronson Road, Kelowna (Glenmore area)

Program: Multi-Age Licensed Daycare Facility – providing quality care and learning for children 18 months to 12 years old

Hours of Work: 30-40 hours per week with slight flexibility (availability between 7:30am to 5:00pm)

Work Days: Monday to Friday

Hourly Rate: $21 - $22.50 TBD based on experience and certification (plus $6 ECE Wage Enhancement)

Benefits: Opted in to the ECE wage enhancement benefit of $6/hr, Vacation pay, sick days, after 3 months of work, paid professional development workshops, fitness/lifestyle benefit, etc.

Key duties and responsibilities:

- Responsible for the care, supervision and safety of a multi-age group of 8 children ages 18 months to 12 years old
- Planning and implementation of classroom activities (i.e. circle time, art and crafts, table top toys) in accordance with the themes.
- Ensure Lil’ Dancing Owls’ philosophy, policies and procedures are observed at all time
- Develop positive relationships and open communication with children,



family members, and other staff members.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the classroom and classroom materials

Qualifications / Requirements:

- Early Childhood Education Certification with License to practice in BC
- Current first aid certificate
- Knowledge of Community Care Licensing regulations
- Must be physically and mentally able to work and care for children in a child care environment
- Ability to provide care and supervision for a maximum of 8 children at a time
- Transparent Criminal record check
- Successful References check – 3 reference letters required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Work well in a team setting as well as individually
- Should already be living in Kelowna
- We dont support LMIA

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$22.50 per hour
