Job Summary

Apex Security is seeking qualified, reliable, and responsible Security Guards to protect people, property, and client assets. Security Guards are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure workplace while providing professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, trespassing, and other security incidents.
- Control access to buildings and restricted areas.
- Conduct regular site inspections and security checks.
- Monitor CCTV and alarm systems where required.
- Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, and safety concerns.
- Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident reports.
- Enforce site rules, policies, and procedures.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service to clients, employees, and visitors.
- Contact emergency services when required and follow established emergency procedures.
- Maintain a professional appearance and remain alert while on duty.
- Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- Valid Alberta Security Services and Investigators Act (SSIA) Security Worker Licence.




- Protect & Proserve Certificate
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous security experience is an asset but not always required.

Pay: $18.00-$23.00 per hour

- Security: 1 year (preferred)
