Prairie Diesel is looking for an experienced, dependable Heavy-Duty Mechanic to join our team.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
- Use diagnostic tools, schematics, hand tools, and power tools
- Welding and fabrication as required
- Complete accurate service records and communicate repair findings
- Follow safe work practices and maintain a clean, organized shop

Qualifications

- 3+ years of heavy-duty mechanical experience
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with mechanical and electrical systems
- Ability to read schematics and technical information




- Welding/fabrication and hydraulic experience are assets
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence
