Join our team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook and bring your passion for food to life! At Sunset Grill we are a busy Breakfast/Lunch full service restaurant open from 7 am - 3 pm seven days a week. The LIne Cooks are the backbone of our kitchen, preparing fresh ingredients, cooking delicious dishes, and ensuring every plate meets our high standards. Your enthusiasm for food service and commitment to quality will help create memorable dining experiences for our guests. You will be able to develop your skills in a lively, fast-paced environment where teamwork and food safety are top priorities.
Duties
- Prepare and assemble dishes according to recipes and presentation standards
- Cook menu items with precision, ensuring consistency and quality in every plate
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety protocols
- Assist with food handling, storage, and inventory management to minimize waste
- Support the team during busy service hours by efficiently managing multiple orders
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe kitchen workplace
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to deliver excellent service and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous food service experience or restaurant work preferred but not required; eager learners are welcome!
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety standards
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with energy and focus
- Strong understanding of food handling procedures and sanitation practices
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Basic knowledge of serving procedures is a plus but not mandatory
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety
