Location: Atlantic - Halifax, Novia Scotia or Saint John, New Brunswick area

Hours of Work: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday or other hours as required

Salary/Range: Fully Commissioned Role

Job Summary: The Sales Representative is a results oriented, relationship-focused individual who will be responsible for developing, service and maintain a portfolio of automobile dealers to sell People’s Choice Warranty products. The employee will promote and sell People’s Choice Warranty products, including automotive, Heavy Truck, and Heavy Equipment warranty programs, to dealerships, garages, repair facilities, and automotive service providers across Canada.

This role will report to the Head of Sales and is responsible for developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and helping automotive businesses offer enhanced warranty coverage and protection solutions to their customers. The ideal candidate understands the automotive industry, is comfortable working in a sales-driven setting, and can confidently explain insurance and warranty products in a clear and professional manner.

- Develop and maintain relationships with automotive dealerships, independent garages, repair shops, and service centres across assigned territories
- Promote and sell automotive, Heavy Truck, and Heavy Equipment warranty protection programs, parts warranty protection programs, and related insurance products
- Identify new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold outreach, and industry events
- Conduct presentations and product demonstrations for dealership owners, service managers, and decision-makers
- Educate clients on warranty coverage options, claims processes, program benefits, and compliance requirements
- Prepare proposals, pricing, agreements, and renewal documentation




- Support onboarding and implementation of warranty programs for new clients
- Maintain ongoing communication with existing clients to ensure satisfaction, retention, and program growth
- Collaborate with internal teams regarding claims support, underwriting, customer service, and client account matters
- Monitor market trends, competitor offerings, and industry developments within the automotive and insurance sectors
- Maintain accurate records of sales activity, pipeline updates, client communications, and account information within CRM systems
- Support accounts receivable activities by following up with clients regarding outstanding invoices, payment collection, account balances, and billing inquiries in a professional and timely manner
- Work collaboratively with accounting and management teams to assist in maintaining accurate client payment records and resolving payment discrepancies
- Meet or exceed established sales targets and performance expectations
- Travel within Canada as required to meet with clients and attend industry events

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, specifically within the automotive, heavy truck, heavy equipment, dealership, aftermarket parts, warranty, or insurance industries
- Knowledge of automotive repair operations, dealership environments, or parts/service departments is considered an asset
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills– in person, online and via phone.
- Strong negotiation, customer service, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
- Comfortable discussing billing, payment follow-up, and account management matters professionally with clients
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
- Proven ability to generate leads and close sales in a competitive market.




- Must be flexible with work hours and willing to travel within Canada
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required
- Insurance licensing may be required depending on provincial regulations and scope of sales activities

Physical & Psychological Working Conditions/Requirements:

- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, and driving while attending client meetings, dealership visits, and industry events
- Regular travel within Canada, including occasional overnight travel depending on business needs
- Extended periods of computer and phone use for client communication, reporting, and administrative tasks
- Ability to transport presentation materials, marketing materials, or light equipment as needed
- Work may be conducted in a variety of environments including offices, dealerships, garages, repair facilities, and trade show settings
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to accommodate client schedules or attend networking events
- Fast-paced and target-driven work setting with sales and client service expectations
- Frequent interaction with clients, requiring strong communication, professionalism, and relationship management skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and changing client needs
- Exposure to challenging conversations related to sales negotiations, account concerns, collections, or payment follow-up
- Independent work requiring self-motivation, organization, and time management
- Requirement to maintain professionalism and composure while handling client concerns, objections, or conflict situations
- Ongoing focus on meeting performance goals, maintaining client relationships, and supporting business growth
