Job Summary

Papa John’s Pizza in St. Albert is looking for an experienced, reliable, and hardworking Pizza Cook to join our team on either a part-time or full-time basis.

Previous restaurant or pizza-making experience is required for this position.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, preparing pizzas accurately and efficiently, maintaining high food-quality standards, and working as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare pizzas according to Papa John’s recipes, portion standards, and quality expectations
- Stretch and prepare pizza dough and assemble orders accurately
- Prepare sauces, vegetables, meats, cheeses, and other ingredients
- Operate pizza ovens and kitchen equipment safely
- Ensure orders are prepared quickly, accurately, and consistently
- Maintain high standards of food quality and portion control
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures
- Keep kitchen workstations, ovens, coolers, and preparation areas clean and organized
- Monitor ingredient levels and restock supplies throughout the shift
- Rotate inventory using the FIFO method to maintain freshness and reduce waste
- Assist with receiving and organizing food deliveries
- Work efficiently during busy periods while maintaining accuracy and quality




- Assist with opening, closing, dishes, and general cleaning duties
- Support other team members as required
- Assist customers and the front counter when needed

Qualifications

- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is REQUIRED
- Previous pizza-making experience is strongly preferred
- Quick-service restaurant experience is an asset
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
- Solid attention to detail and food quality
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs (11 kg)
- Must be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Safety Certification is an asset
