Finance & Accounting Manager

Job Summary

Corrosion Technologies is looking for an experienced, organized, and business-minded Finance & Accounting Manager to join our team.

Reporting to the Owners, the Finance & Accounting Manager will take ownership of the company’s day-to-day accounting and financial operations while helping support the overall operational efficiency and continued growth of the business.

This position is designed for someone who is comfortable managing the complete accounting cycle, overseeing payroll and government remittances, preparing accurate and timely financial information, and using that information to help guide business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage the complete accounting cycle and day-to-day financial operations
- Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, reports, and supporting working papers
- Complete month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Monitor customer collections, vendor payments, expenditures, and working capital
- Prepare bank, credit card, intercompany, and other account reconciliations
- Review employee timesheets and oversee payroll processing
- Maintain payroll records and prepare required payroll remittances and year-end T4 filings
- Prepare GST and other required government filings
- Review cost allocations and ensure expenses are accurately recorded
- Manage cash-flow reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis
- Monitor financial performance and identify financial and operational strengths, weaknesses,



trends, and areas of concern
- Recommend and assist with implementing corrective actions and process improvements
- Maintain appropriate accounting controls, procedures, and documentation
- Coordinate information required by external accountants and other skilled advisors
- Prepare financial reporting for special projects as required
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, efficiency, and internal controls

Qualifications & Experience

- 5+ years of progressive, full-cycle accounting experience preferred
- Robust practical knowledge of payroll and payroll-related reporting
- Experience with Canadian accounting practices and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Experience preparing monthly financial statements and account reconciliations
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow management, and financial analysis
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines and competing priorities
- Strong professional judgment, discretion, and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently while communicating effectively with Owners, senior management, and other departments




- Comfortable identifying issues and recommending practical solutions

The Following Would Be Considered Strong Assets

- Experience with QuickBooks
- Experience with Payworks
- Experience managing or accounting for U.S. transactions
- Experience working across multiple companies or entities
- Experience with intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Experience with real estate accounting
- Experience reviewing commercial leases
- Experience preparing triple-net (NNN) reconciliations

A CPA designation is not required. Equivalent hands-on accounting and financial management experience will be given full consideration.
