RZX Construction Ltd. is looking for an experienced pipelayer to join our civil construction crew for projects in the Vernon and North Okanagan area.

We are looking for someone who can work independently alongside an excavator operator and understands proper installation of underground civil infrastructure.

Responsibilities

- Install water, sanitary and storm systems
- Set pipe to proper line, grade and elevation
- Install PVC, HDPE and other civil piping
- Install fittings, valves, services, manholes and related infrastructure
- Read civil drawings and understand grades/elevations
- Properly bed, place and backfill pipe
- Work closely with excavator operators and ground crew
- Follow company and site safety requirements

Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of pipelaying/civil underground experience
- Solid understanding of pipe grades and elevations
- Able to read civil drawings
- Experience with water, sanitary and storm installations
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
- Physically capable of working in an active civil construction environment
- Dependable and able to work as part of a crew

Pay: $32.00-$40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week
