Menzies Pet Food Plus
We are seeking a friendly Pet Store Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while handling transactions efficiently. Your responsibilities will include managing sales at the register, assisting customers with product inquiries, and maintaining product inventory. Previous pet store retail experience is a plus, especially familiarity with POS systems and retail sales procedures.

Responsibilities

- Operate POS systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Greet customers warmly and assist with product questions or concerns.
- Handle cash, credit card, and other payment methods with precision and integrity.
- Conduct product demos when appropriate to educate customers about pet care items.
- Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves and organizing displays.
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.




- Manage inventory by monitoring stock levels and ordering products as they are sold.
- Provide exceptional customer service through effective communication and phone etiquette.
- Support supervising staff as needed in overseeing daily store operations .

Skills

- Familiarity with dogs, cats and their food, treats, toys, supplies.
- The ideal candidate is reliable, honest and has good work ethic.
- Robust customer service skills with excellent communication abilities.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
- Friendly demeanor with strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 per week
