A. Berger Precision Ltd. is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to join its manufacturing team in Brampton.

This is a senior technical role for an accomplished manufacturing professional who can serve as a subject-matter expert in machining and manufacturing processes, while taking ownership of process development, continuous improvement, new programs and manufacturing projects.

The successful candidate will combine deep technical manufacturing expertise with strong project leadership and commercial awareness, including supporting Requests for Quotation (RFQs) by determining manufacturing processes, equipment requirements, cycle times, tooling and investment requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan, direct and oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of manufacturing processes and process flow.
- Determine manufacturing processes, process flow and equipment requirements for RFQs and new business opportunities.
- Develop and evaluate cycle times, tooling costs and investment requirements to support manufacturing and quotation decisions.
- Lead manufacturing and process-engineering projects from initial development through implementation.
- Oversee the development and introduction of new and revised products and manufacturing processes.
- Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for current programs and engineering changes.
- Lead corrective and preventive actions, investigations and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce costs and minimize waste using lean-manufacturing principles.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, procedures, work instructions and manufacturing standards.
- Apply quality and process tools including Control Plans, FMEA, process flows, SPC and 8D problem solving.
- Work closely with Purchasing, Quality, Sales, Operations,



Materials and Engineering on new programs and engineering changes.
- Provide technical leadership, mentoring and training to engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Conduct lean-manufacturing audits and technical investigations as required.
- Act as a subject-matter expert on manufacturing processes, equipment and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

- College or university education in Engineering or a related technical discipline; equivalent extensive experience and training may be considered.
- 15–20+ years of experience in machining and manufacturing processes.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing process development and process equipment.
- Strong understanding of key production processes, including machining, mechanics, washing and packaging.
- Experience supporting RFQs, quotations, manufacturing costing, tooling and capital-equipment requirements.
- Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing or process-engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of Control Plans, FMEA, SPC, process flows and 8D problem solving.
- Experience with APQP and new-product/process introduction.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and continuous-improvement methodologies.
- Experience preparing procedures, work instructions, policies, reports and technical documentation.
- Ability to develop and deliver technical training.
- Strong project-management, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.




- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Project.

You are a seasoned manufacturing and process-engineering professional who understands not only how to improve an existing process, but how to determine how a product should be manufactured in the first place.

You can review customer and product requirements, determine the appropriate manufacturing process and equipment, evaluate tooling, cycle times and investment requirements, contribute to the quotation process, and then help lead the project through implementation.

You are comfortable being the technical expert in the room while collaborating closely with Operations, Quality, Sales, Purchasing and Engineering, and you enjoy sharing your expertise through mentoring and training.
