Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Digital Workplace & End User Technology Architect to play a key role in designing the technology experience for a new corporate headquarters.

This is an opportunity to help create a workplace of the future from the ground up. The successful candidate will assess emerging workplace technologies, recommend solutions, develop standards and architectures, and work hands-on with internal teams and vendors to bring those solutions to life.

The primary focus of this role is the employee technology experience—understanding how people will work within the new headquarters and identifying technology that makes that experience more intuitive, connected, productive and seamless.

This individual should have a strong understanding of the modern workplace technology landscape and be able to answer questions such as: What technology should a next-generation office have? How should employees interact with meeting rooms and collaboration spaces? How can technology remove friction from the workday? What current solutions should we be considering that we may not be using today?

This is not solely a strategy or architecture position. The successful candidate must be comfortable being hands-on, evaluating and configuring technologies, leading Proofs of Concept (POCs), troubleshooting integrations and working directly with implementation teams and technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the technology vision and solution architecture for the end-user experience within a new corporate headquarters.

- Assess the current and emerging digital workplace technology landscape and recommend technologies that could improve how employees work, collaborate and interact with the office.

- Identify opportunities to create a future-ready workplace, bringing forward innovative solutions and challenging traditional approaches where appropriate.

- Design the end-to-end employee technology experience across workstations, meeting rooms, collaboration spaces, shared spaces and mobile working environments.





- Develop technology standards and reference architectures for the new headquarters and future workplace environments.

- Design and establish standards for next-generation meeting rooms and collaboration spaces, including video conferencing, audio/visual technologies, wireless presentation, room controls, cameras, microphones, displays and collaboration platforms.

- Evaluate technologies that improve the in-office experience, including room and desk booking, digital signage, workplace applications, occupancy and environmental technologies, wayfinding, visitor technology and smart-office solutions.

- Evaluate opportunities to simplify the employee journey through technologies such as mobile experiences, automation, self-service, passwordless authentication and zero-touch provisioning.

- Understand how employees move through and use the workplace and identify technology-related friction points that can be eliminated or improved.

- Evaluate emerging technologies and lead Proof of Concept (POC), pilot and technology evaluation initiatives before enterprise adoption.

- Research and provide recommendations on new technologies, vendors and approaches based on business requirements and employee experience objectives.

- Work closely with corporate real estate, facilities, networking, infrastructure, cybersecurity, architecture and business stakeholders to ensure technology is integrated into the overall workplace design.

- Partner with architects, construction teams, AV integrators and technology vendors throughout the design and build of the new headquarters.

- Translate employee and business requirements into practical technical solutions and architectural designs.

- Provide hands-on technical leadership during solution configuration, testing, integration and deployment.

- Design and evolve endpoint technologies across laptops, mobile devices and other employee-facing technologies.

- Develop modern endpoint management, provisioning and configuration approaches using technologies such as Microsoft Intune, Autopilot and Microsoft Entra ID.

- Identify opportunities to automate provisioning, authentication, application delivery and other employee technology interactions.

- Establish standards for device connectivity, docking, displays, peripherals and workstation technology.

- Ensure workplace technologies integrate effectively with enterprise networking, identity, security and collaboration platforms.

- Partner with Information Security to ensure current workplace technologies meet cybersecurity, privacy and compliance requirements.

- Develop architectural blueprints, technology standards, solution documentation and implementation guidance.

- Provide technical leadership and guidance to implementation teams throughout deployment.

- Act as a senior technical point of contact for workplace technology vendors and partners.

- Remain current on developments in digital workplace, collaboration, smart-office, AV and end-user technologies and proactively identify technologies that could improve the employee experience.

Skills & Qualifications

- 6+ years of progressive experience in Digital Workplace, End User Computing, Workplace Technology, Solution Architecture, Infrastructure Architecture or Systems Engineering.

- Demonstrated experience designing or implementing technology for modern corporate offices, headquarters,



workplace transformations or large office environments.

- Strong understanding of the modern workplace technology ecosystem and emerging technologies that improve employee experience.

- Experience designing and implementing meeting room and collaboration technologies, including Microsoft Teams Rooms or comparable enterprise collaboration platforms.

- Strong understanding of enterprise AV technologies including displays, cameras, microphones, speakers, room controls and wireless presentation technologies.

- Experience with workplace technologies such as room/desk booking, digital signage, workplace experience platforms, smart-office technologies, visitor solutions or occupancy technologies is highly desirable.

- Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager, Windows 11, Autopilot and Microsoft Entra ID.

- Experience with modern identity and authentication technologies including SSO, MFA and passwordless authentication.

- Knowledge of macOS, iOS, Android and enterprise Mobile Device Management.

- Understanding of enterprise networking, Wi-Fi, security and infrastructure considerations associated with workplace technology.

- Experience conducting technology evaluations, Proofs of Concept and pilots and making recommendations based on technical capability, employee experience, scalability and business value.

- Experience working with AV integrators, technology vendors, facilities, corporate real estate and/or construction teams is highly desirable.

- Experience with scripting and automation using PowerShell and/or Python is an asset.

- Strong troubleshooting skills and willingness to remain technically hands-on.

- Ability to translate emerging technologies into practical workplace solutions rather than adopting technology for technology's sake.

- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to executives, business stakeholders, vendors and technical teams.

- A solid employee-experience mindset, with the ability to look at technology from the perspective of the person using it.

They are not simply an endpoint specialist who can manage laptops and Intune. They understand the broader digital workplace ecosystem and can walk into the plans for a new headquarters and identify opportunities to make the employee experience dramatically better.

They keep current on emerging workplace technologies, understand what leading organizations are implementing, can separate useful innovation from technology hype, and are comfortable recommending solutions that the organization may not have considered.

Most importantly, they can move between vision and execution—developing the technology strategy and architecture while also rolling up their sleeves to evaluate, configure, test and help implement the solutions they recommend.
