Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Technical Project Coordinator to join our team based out of Edmonton. In this role, you will oversee and coordinate integrated security projects across Western Canada, serving as the critical link between project execution, field technicians, and system architecture.

Our company specializes in full-scope physical security solutions, including CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Alarms, Intercom Systems, and associated low-voltage infrastructure.

The ideal candidate possesses deep hands-on expertise in security system design, installation, and service, combined with strong coordination skills. You will act as our primary internal technical escalation point providing first-line technical support to field teams before reaching out to manufacturer support while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to high quality standards.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Coordination & Oversight

- Project Execution: Plan, schedule, and coordinate security integration projects from kickoff through final commissioning across Western Canada.
- Tracking & Scheduling: Track project timelines, resource allocation, materials, and field technician schedules to ensure seamless execution.
- Quality Control: Conduct site visits and quality control checks during and after installation.

First-Line Technical Support & Escalation

- Field Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact for field technicians and subcontractors encountering jobsite challenges.




- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Perform initial troubleshooting and diagnostics for hardware, software, and networking issues across CCTV, Access Control, Alarm, and Intercom systems prior to engaging manufacturer technical support.
- Vendor Coordination: Maintain direct relationships with manufacturer technical support teams for advanced escalations and RMA management.

System Design & Quality Assurance

- Specification Review: Review and validate system design specifications, riser diagrams, Scope of Work (SOW) documents, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Standards Compliance: Ensure all installations comply with industry standards, manufacturer guidelines, and client specifications.
- Technical Scoping: Assist in site surveys and technical scoping for new project proposals when required.

Qualifications & Skill Requirements

- Technical Expertise: Comprehensive understanding of how low-voltage security systems are designed, wired, installed, configured, and serviced (CCTV/VMS, IP Access Control, Intrusion Alarms, and Intercoms).
- Field Experience: Hands-on background as a security technician, lead installer, or technical lead is strongly preferred.
- Troubleshooting Skills: Proven ability to logically diagnose system faults, network connectivity issues, and hardware/software integration bugs independently.
- Language Proficiency: Advanced-level proficiency in English (reading, writing, and speaking)

- Mobility: Valid Driver’s License and willingness to travel across Western Canada as required by project schedules. (All travel expenses, accommodation, and per diems are fully covered by the company).
- Organization: Strong multi-tasking ability, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset under tight project deadlines.
