Berto Contractors Ltd. is an established excavation and civil contractor operating in the Lower Mainland. We are a family-based company with over 30 years of civil construction knowledge and offer a wide range of services within the industry, taking on various projects in Telecommunications and Hyrdo civil infrastructure placement and maintenance. Our customers include TELUS Communications, Shaw Communications, Ledcor, Rogers Communication and more. We are currently seeking an experienced In-Charge/Foreman/woman.

Requirements

Our In-Charges are directly responsible for all on-site work and project completion. They are required to supervise a crew of 3-10 crew members, correcting all unsafe or inefficient practices, ensuring all safe work practices are followed and provide mentoring to those looking to advance within the company. As an In-Charge you are required to completed daily updates about project status, materials/work orders and documentation of build specifications completed.

A successful candidate must also have;





- Minimum of 3 years of civil construction experience in a supervisory role
- Hydro/Telecommunications experience, an asset
- Minimum of 2 years experience reading plans/drawings, including BCOne mapping
- Experience in locating underground utilities with the use of M-Scope or other locating device.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Valid Class 5 BC Drivers License with a clean Drivers Abstract
- Good understanding of construction principles and procedures
- Access to reliable transportation
