We are seeking a Risk & Claims Data Analyst to join our Risk Management team. This role is responsible for collecting, managing, analyzing, and reporting on risk, insurance, incident, and claims data to support informed decision-making across the organization.

The successful candidate will combine strong analytical and data management skills with an understanding of risk and claims administration. You will work closely with Risk Management, HR, Finance, Operations, Safety, IT, and other teams to ensure our data is accurate, reliable, secure, and actionable.

Key Responsibilities

· Collect, validate, organize, and maintain risk, insurance, incident, and claims data from internal and external sources.

· Develop and maintain standardized data processes, models, structures, and documentation to support effective risk and claims administration.

· Analyze claims, loss, incident, and risk data to identify trends, emerging exposures, and opportunities for loss prevention.

· Conduct data mining and statistical analysis and develop reports, dashboards, and actionable insights for the VP of Risk Management and key stakeholders.

· Design, maintain, and optimize databases, data models, queries, and reporting tools used to manage and analyze risk and claims information.

· Integrate data from multiple systems and identify opportunities to automate data collection, validation, reporting, and analysis.

· Support data governance standards related to data access, security, retention, and appropriate use of sensitive information.

· Provide analytical support for insurance renewals, claims reviews, loss forecasting, audits, reserve analysis, and other risk management initiatives.





· Monitor key risk and claims metrics and provide recommendations to management based on identified trends and findings.

· Collaborate with HR, Finance, Operations, Safety, IT, and other departments to obtain, reconcile, and improve risk and claims data.

· Provide data and analytical support to insurers, brokers, auditors, legal representatives, and other external stakeholders as required.

· Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure the appropriate handling, security, and integrity of sensitive claims, employee, financial, and organizational information.

· Identify opportunities to improve reporting, processes, systems, and data quality within the Risk Management function.

What We're Looking For

· Post-secondary education in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Statistics, Finance, Risk Management, Information Systems, or a related field.

· Experience working with large or complex datasets, preferably within risk management, insurance, claims, finance, or a related environment.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify trends and translate data into meaningful business insights.

· Experience with databases, data models, queries, reporting tools, and data visualization.

· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Power BI, SQL, or similar analytical tools is considered an asset.

· Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

· Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly to management and other stakeholders.

· Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

· Experience in insurance, claims, occupational safety, risk management, or loss prevention is considered an asset.

Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
