Intermediate Telecommunications Analyst - Contract - 19488
About the Opportunity
Our public sector client is seeking two Intermediate Telecommunications Analysts to support a network audit and documentation initiative in Gatineau, Quebec. The resources will support the development of situational awareness across a variety of local area networks and assist with the identification, documentation and monitoring of network hardware, applications and related infrastructure.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Conduct physical surveys to identify computer hardware, routers, switches, network drop locations and other networking equipment associated with local area networks
- Record manufacturer, model, serial number, version number, asset tag and other relevant characteristics of network devices and applications in a SharePoint database
- Document network infrastructure information, including the provider, area covered, use, supported end users, connected peripheral equipment and security details
- Identify, update and secure access credentials in accordance with established security requirements
- Establish logging required to support a live monitoring visual product showing network coverage, network node status and network usage
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- A minimum of 12 months of experience within the past two years providing technical support to an enterprise network. This is a mandatory requirement
- Experience supporting enterprise or local area network environments
- Experience working with networking equipment such as routers, switches, network drops and related hardware
- Experience documenting technical assets, applications and network infrastructure
- Experience working with SharePoint or a similar information management platform would be considered an asset
- Experience supporting network access credentials, logging or monitoring activities
- Advanced English oral, comprehension and written communication skills
- A valid Government of Canada security clearance at a minimum level of Reliability status
- Two professional references who can verify relevant experience
- Availability to participate in a client interview as part of the selection process
